I received an early christmas gift this year. A set double pointed signature needles in size 2 (2.75 mm). I wanted to see what all the fuss is about with these needles. First I compared my signature tips to all my other sock needle tips.
From Left to Right they are Susan bates circular, kollege dpns, signature dpns, clover bamboo dpns, susan bates regular dpns, and addi lace circular …….all in the 2.75 mm size.
I decided to take all the dpns and make an ankle socks to see how different they are and if the type of needle has any effect on gauge. So I may end up with 2 pairs of ankle socks with some nice fair isle on the cuffs. This time I will make them toe-up. With the colors in the lower picture for the fair isle portion a good way to use up leftovers.
This should be interesting!!!!
Here are my two big kitties ……I remember in May we were bottle feeding these two.

You come up with such clever ideas for experiments! I’m interested in seeing how the socks turn out.
Thanks for dropping by my blog yesterday. I haven’t been on the web very much recently, but it was great to hear from you. I hope you and your lovely family have a wonderful Christmas!
