I know you would think that I should be making more spring and summery type items and accessories by this time. I am thinking spring and summer as well. However the weather isn’t exactly agreeable. We got more snow over the weekend.
So I thought I would make some beautiful angora socks. I wanted to test the yarn anyway so ….no better time than the present.
I’ve noticed a few things knitting my long stapled angora yarn. It doesn’t pill or fly off in the air while I’m knitting. I tore back 3 times and the yarn is holding up well.
You may notice that I put a reinforcing yarn in. I have a tendency to wear out my socks on the ball of the foot right beneath my toes. I seem to do this with all my socks, so I started putting the reinforcement there.
I am really pleased with this yarn. I will have more of this in the shop once I get it dyed up. I will also be making this pattern available as I finish the socks.
