I’ve been busy for the last week. I’ve been editing 517 photos of our newest handdyed yarns. In the midst of all this editing I have couple of finished projects to share with you.

First I have a cute project bag that was made with one skein of ribbon yarn.

I know it looks small but it will fit a small project like socks or a lace shawl. As my green pajama pants prove:)

Pattern for this project will be available on here next by next Monday.

Now for my second project I used recycled and handdyed silk chiffon yarn to create this awesomely cute skinny scarf. Pattern is the Checkmate Scarf by Diane L. Augustin.

This yarn is crunchy and bouncy but not stiff or itchy.

Once again I only needed one skein of this yarn to make a 5-6 foot long scarf and tassels.

I also did mention some new yarns so this post wouldn’t be complete without showing some of the new stock ( after all I did edit like 500) pictures.

I also have this in 4-ply and dk weight. I love this yarn. Unlike most cashmere yarns it is long staple cashmere and the percentage of cashmere is a whooping 70%!!!!!

I left a few skeins of every type of yarn natural for those who love to stick with shades of white. I will be adding these new yarns to the shop this week in time for Memorial Day. We will be having a Free Shipping Sale from Friday thru Monday. Just use code MEMORIALDAY at checkout!!!! Enjoy the yarny porn!!!!

I had the opportunity to check out some Scandalicious by Cascade Yarns.  The yarn is basically made of differing yarns in both weight and content. and knitted into a 10 yard tube. Then serged on both ends.

I decided to follow the instructions and make a ruffled scarf. I wanted to see how to knit this knitted yarn and how it works up.

As I was working the yarn my mind started going….I got some ideas. I’ll share more when I try to implement my idea of what this type of yarn can become.

If you saw Friday’s Post . You got a sneak peak at the latest addition to my herd of wheels. I found this sweet little hitchhiker wheel.

She spins great. This was the first time I ever used a wheel that is tension driven. The feel is a bit different than a drive band wheel. The foot action is truly a push toe, push heel. I think that will change if I ever decide to add the second treadle. For now I think it’s endearing as is.

I mentioned earlier that this is a tension driven wheel. What that means is there is no drive band. A large wheel is butted up against a smaller rubber wheel that turns the flyer.

To change ratios with this wheel there are different sizes of rubber wheels. I’ve tried the different ratios and this little wheel can do 7:1, 9:1, and 13:1.

I would definitely recommend this wheel for the spinner who is on a budget. At 299 it’s a steal and it can grow with you.  The wheel is set up to use Ashford bobbins and flyers. It is also airline compatible. You can check out this 9 pound travel wheel at Merlin Tree.

I’ve finished my angora socks. They are sooo soft.

This pair came out a bit small for me. I did try a new heel and followed the directions of starting the heel 2 inches before the length of the socks.  However they still came out a bit small if I use this heel again I will knit to  1 inch or 1.5 inches before I start this heel.

Ok so I’ve not been actually playing with the buns. but I’ve been letting them play.I’ve been busy giving the bunnies their spring haircut. They get to play in their bunny run afterwards. Sometimes I even put it outside(hasn’t dried up enough yet). I have plenty of new fiber heading into the shop. Doesn’t Bella look cute with her puppy cut?
