I took the time to weave in the ends and block the piece so you could see the openwork pattern.

I was planning on debuting the new yak cowl pattern today but I had forgotten about the summer tunic project. So I will debut the pattern next Monday (hopefully the weather will be better for taking great pics) and will show the progress on the tunic project today.

I have finished the back of the tunic. The construction of this garment seems pretty straight forward it has A-line shaping.

I’ve taken some yarn that in past didn’t work for another project and  decided to try something else with it.  So here is the beginnings of my: 101-4 tunic knitted in wave pattern with ”Bomull- Lin”by DROPS design.

The yarn I’m using for this project is  Linen Isle by Plymouth Yarn. It’s 50% cotton, 30% rayon , and 20% linen. Unfortunately it’s also discontinued so I’m hoping I have enough for the project. I believe the colorway is  called Wild Iris and the color number is 9510.

I hope everyone enjoyed their summer solstice. Happy Summer Everyone!!!!!

I can’t believe how much I and my business have changed in that last 4 years. I’ve completely changed my look and the business has expanded from a little fiber farm  with a few fiber animals to working with other rescues, and recycled fibers.

Check out my first tutorial I was scared to death when I first started doing videos.

I’m also amazed at the fact that I now need separate work space with the new fiber studio. I never expected my little hobby to turn into a business. Look at us now. I also never thought I would cut my hair.

We have 2 new rescues on the farm. I would like to introduce Snowball and Bread.

snowball

Snowball was brought to me as a full German angora but I think she may have a bit of French angora in her as well. She is an absolute sweetie who likes cuddling.

Bread

Bread is a French angora. He loves pets on the head and will nudge you for them.

Both these angoras did come from a loving home with 3 young children who loved spending time with these sweet buns. However there was an allergy issue that prevented the family from being able to care for them. Makes me happy to do what I do:)

I couldn’t resist showing you how big the ducks and chickens have gotten.
